We had some of our new Cationic Chiffon in, there are over 60 colours and we have half in already the rest will arrive in the next few weeks. 

Remember we talked last month about the parcel of Glazed Chintz and Taffata, that has now arrived and a real bargain at £4.99pm.

I’m sure a lot of you have seen our Facebook posts, the last one (picture below) gave us over 16;000 hits. We have lots of fun with them and hope it brings a bit of humour to your day.

The new Laura Ashley Clearance has turned up, and this has proved to be one of the best parcels we’ve had, as an average some of them originally had an RRP of £59.99 per metre, we are selling all at £14.99 metre, so don’t miss out on this little treasure.

Our linen clearance from Clarke & Clarke is also now retailing at £19.99 per metre, 15 colours all perfects.

In these turbulent times we find that a company like us does well, we offer  value for money, during these times when the retail trade is less buoyant we get offered more and more better deals.

I’ve had 5 rolls of upholstery acrylics in, again selling at £14.99 per metre, see below.

As we speak I’ve ordered a new chiffon range for our dressmaking side over 46 colours available at £4.99 metre, on top of that I’ve just bought 2 more parcels of taffeta and glazed chintz numerous colours for only £4.99 metre.

We have recently added more rolls to our £5 per metre fabrics. There really is a bargain for everyone.

Welcome to our monthly newsletter.

March has been extremely busy for us, which has really surprised me with everything that is going on in the world. 

We have been getting some big viewing numbers on the videos we have been making for Facebook and Instagram. As a small independent business these platforms are a vital way of letting people know what we do, who we are and where we are, so please keep sharing, liking, following and interacting with our posts.

We have had many new customers which is great and I am sure that a lot of this will be down to your interactions on our posts and videos.

Now the best bit for you is that I’ve been on a buying trip and I got some great bargains for you, and some great new fabrics. We have a new viscose sari type design with matching plains, they are beautiful at only £8.99 per metre, new dress designs are continually coming in, we now have a huge range of beautiful prints and some more printed denims. Also some cracking new pvc which looks like leather, again at a great price of £14.99 per metre.

The new webbings in our bag section are amazing quality, with over 50 new designs, we have all the hardware in a variety of colours with zips to match.

There’s more Curtain and Upholstery Fabrics coming in all the time, I am at the moment negotiating with suppliers in china for some new fat quarters for you to enjoy.

I have just in the last day collected some clearance net curtains, we will be selling all these out at £1.00 per metre.

One of our main aims over the next 6 months is to get our made to measure lists down, ensuring you don’t have long to wait for your beautiful Curtains and Roman Blinds.

Lastly we would just like to thank everyone that came along to our Coffee and Cake day, we had a great time meeting and chatting to you all, this will definitely not be the last one we hold, so keep an eye open for the next date.

We still have some great deals for you during March. We are continuing the clearance of the £5.00 and £2.99 bins, but only for the duration of March as I have sold whatever remains of the £5.00 stock to a wholesaler, so don’t miss out.

We have a new clearance range from Voyage – Oryx is now in stock, 12 colourways in a herringbone chenille at only £14.99p/m so don’t miss out.

During February we have added many new ranges throughout the haberdashery department, we have expanded our Bag Making ranges with new strapping and lots of new hardwear, we believe we may just have the biggest and best selection of accessories for miles around, please come in and take a look, many of my staff make bags so can give you some excellent advice.

We’ve a new range of beautiful wooden sewing boxes and knitting bags come in, also some lovely filled sewing boxes at great prices.

New stock continues to arrive daily and we are expecting some new Liberty prints any day now.

One thing we continue to sell regularly now are scissors. We have a big selection of Fiskars in many different sizes, all at great prices.

One last thing to mention, is that Nigel and I would like to invite you to a Coffee and Cake day on Saturday 28th March at Falcon Fabrics from 9.30am to 4pm, it would be lovely to see as many of you as possible, a little thank you from us both.

January by tradition, is usually one of our slowest months of the year, but not this year, we have been amazed at the pick up in our haberdashery and dressmaking ranges and we are now actively looking to increase the ranges we stock.

The wool that we introduced last month is also really building momentum nicely too, so pop over and take a look. We have been told by most of the customers that it is really lovely to knit with and of fantastic quality.

Over the next couple of months new ranges will start coming through across the board.

We are always updating and expanding our ranges online and our internet prices are exactly the same whether you pop into the store, pick up the phone or shop online.

FEBRUARY IS SALE TIME !!!!! We have 20% off all fabrics, excluding our linings and the £2.99/£5.00 clearance ranges, don’t miss out on this amazing sale, no one can beat us locally or nationally with these prices. 

Keep an eye out as well from time to time we have special deals on bales/rolls of lining, at the moment we can do a roll of sateen lining for £100 approx 50mtrs and a 50mtr roll of blackout for £200.

So what is it we have achieved this year? We have improved the stock ranges and increased the quality of stock we hold, sought out new suppliers for dress and haberdashery and ever increasing our ranges. After listening to you we have diversified this year, introducing wool to our ever growing catalogue of products we can offer. 

We are always working harder and buying better to bring you quality stock at better prices.

Lots to look forward to in the new year, we have a new dress range coming in in January, very similar to the Liberty Prints which you will love.

We have also been back in talks with Voyage Fabrics again and will be looking at reintroducing stock again, there are some truly beautiful designs and colourways at really competitive prices.

We are constantly reviewing the internet to be as competitively priced where possible, if you can’t get down to the store then please take a browser through our website to see some of the stock we hold and to order online.

As promised our Clearance Upholstery range came in, it is fantastic, lots of lovely colours, fire retarded and at an amazing price only £14.99p/m, alongside those the 2000mts of Voyage Clearance has also arrived, some great designs and colours only £9.99p/m.

I have just had 10 rolls of Tartans delivered, also some new cotton prints, all 100% Cotton and in many different colourways and designs, perfect for Dressmaking and Quilting.

We have had a really amazing October, We celebrated 34 years with a Cuppa and Cake Day. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it, we certainly did and will definitely do it again, who doesn’t like a free Cuppa and Cake.

We have recently had some brilliant new deals come along.

Firstly we had some fantastic designs arrive in a new digital polycotton print, we have all 58 designs in stock, including William Morris and some new 3D prints.

I have also just bought 30 rolls of Clarke & Clarke Upholstery Fabric, due any day now RRP £30/£45pm, we are selling for only £14.99pm, these are not to be missed.

I am working on securing a large parcel of Cotton/Linen Prints, these will retail for under £10.00p/m, I will keep you updated on the progress.

This week we have had some new collections from Ashley Wilde, Stripes and Prints in beautiful quality fabric.

A couple of days ago a new William Morris inspired sewing stand arrived with some fantastic gifts for Christmas.

Just yesterday we had some lovely new checks arrive from Art of the Loom all at £14.99 per metre, ideal for Curtains and Upholstery.

Autumn is the time that the majority of Fabric Suppliers release their new designs, we have some fantastic new collections from Ashley Wilde – Paloma, Eliza and Lina and

Prestigious Textiles – Pippin, Brodie, Tambo and Brompton.

Well that’s it, and just like that another month has gone and flown by. The nights are slowly drawing in, so if you haven’t already then it’s time to get your sewing back out.

Hope you made use of our Sale throughout August and bought some bargains. It turned out to be one of the best months we have ever had.

We have got so many exciting things arriving during September.

Today we have received the first part of all our Christmas Fabrics, next shipment will be during this month.

Lots of new Fat Quarters as well, again today we have taken delivery of some Plain Percale Cotton Fat Quarters, 10 different colourway packs. We also have some Joanna Fat Quarters coming in from the US anytime soon.

11 Colours in Waffle Fabric at £10.99p/m all now in stock.

We are in the process of building new racks to accommodate a new Herringbone Dress-weight fabric, and new plain range of Linen Viscose, all will be in very shortly.

We have a new range of William Morris Teflon Coated Tablecloths due soon, they are Wipe Clean (Waterproof) coated with 2 layers of acrylic and thanks to its 1 layer of teflon stain resistant.

I have ordered some lovely Dress-weight Poly/Cottons all £3.99p/m – William Morris type designs.

Also just a little reminder that we have lots of threads, zips and haberdashery at £1.00 each to clear, some clearance Net Curtains, assorted designs and drops all at £1.00p/m and we still have stocks of DB2 lining to clear at £2.99p/m.
