What is the difference between sateen and polycotton lining?
Sateen Lining is 100% Cotton where as polycotton lining is a mixture of cotton and polyester Sateen lining is stronger against the sun, is available in 5 colours instead of 1 and works out £1.00 per metre more expensive than polycotton lining.
What is the difference between Pencil pleat and Pinch pleat?
Pencil Pleat is commonly worked on double fullness for gather (although it is up to the customers personal preference) where as Pinch pleat has to work on two and a half times fullness, resulting in Pinch pleat curtains requiring more fabric.
Pinch Pleats, the pleats are fixed in place and made precisely to fit your width, where as Pencil pleats are made to a standard whole or half width and are pulled up to the size of the window.
Both can be fitted onto a track or a pole.
Pinch Pleat labour is more expensive than pencil pleats.
Do you have a measuring service?
Yes! We have a FREE measuring service for customers within a 30 mile radius of Chichester. We can also offer quotes and measuring services further afield for a small charge. Please call the store on 01243 839850 for more details.
Do you fit poles, tracks and blinds?
Yes! We provide a full fitting service on all of our products, unfortunately we are unable to fit items that have been provided by other companys.
Do you make roman blinds?
Yes. We have a full made to measure service on roman blinds where the customer can choose either right hand or left handed mechanisms.
Do you cut foam?
Yes! We cut foam to size and shape. If you have a square/rectangular item we can cut in store with simple measurements from the customer (Width, length and depth). If you have a more complicated item such as a circle or cushion infills we would require some form of template, cardboard or wooden templates are normally the best.
